Questions

Contact Support →A Focus Score is a number from 0 to 100 that measures how focused vs. distracted your online behaviour is. It is calculated in real time by analysing your watch time, Shorts consumption, tab-switching frequency, scroll speed, and idle time. A score of 80+ means peak focus; below 40 means high distraction.
FocusScore analyses five behavioural signals: (1) long-form watch time vs. Shorts consumption, (2) tab-switching frequency, (3) scroll speed patterns, (4) idle time vs. active engagement, and (5) return-visit patterns. These are combined into your score using a transparent, weighted rule-based engine grounded in attention research.
Yes. The core extension — real-time Focus Score, distraction detection, and basic platform analytics — is completely free forever. A Pro plan with advanced AI insights, custom goals, and priority support is coming soon.
Many users with ADHD report FocusScore helps them become aware of their distraction patterns and create accountability loops. The before/after view and weekly reports give objective data rather than relying on self-reporting. FocusScore is not a medical device; always consult a healthcare professional for ADHD management.
FocusScore collects only behavioural signals: watch time, scroll events, tab switches, and idle time. It does NOT record keystrokes, read your messages, capture passwords, or access your browsing history outside of tracked platforms. All processing happens locally in your browser; only aggregated scores are sent to our servers.
FocusScore currently tracks YouTube (including Shorts detection), Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, Reddit, and LinkedIn. You can enable or disable tracking per platform in the extension settings.
Yes. FocusScore can automatically hide the YouTube Shorts shelf, Shorts in search results, and the Shorts tab — so your feed stays focused on long-form content. This is configurable in the extension options.
The fastest way to improve is to enable the Shorts blocker, reduce tab switching, and use the Focus Timer feature. Check your weekly report to identify your highest-distraction platform and set a daily limit. Most users see a 15–25 point improvement within two weeks.
